We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. There is no surcharge for using your credit card to make purchases. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number (i.e. the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you). Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your credit card will be billed at the time the order is placed.
Although SLU makes every attempt to ensure its products meet our quality standards, and are well-packaged to maximize the protection of your purchase, occasionally a product is defective or damaged during the shipping process. If you receive a defective or damaged product, please call us at 800-258-7030 within three (3) business days so we may request a replacement.
This site may contain links to other sites on the Internet that are owned and operated by third parties. You acknowledge that SeniorLivingU is not responsible for the operation of or content located on, or through, any such site.
Money Orders, Cashier’s Checks, Company Checks, & Personal Checks
We accept money orders, cashier’s checks, personal checks, and company checks made payable in U.S. dollars only. Orders are processed upon receipt of payment. We cannot guarantee the stock quantity of a product by the time payment is received.
Multiple Product Orders
For a multiple product order, we will make every attempt to ship all products contained in the order at the same time. SeniorLivingU reserves the right to withhold fulfillment of the complete order until all products are in stock. Likewise, SLU reserves the right to ship the products as they become available.
Order Acceptance Policy
Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. SeniorLivingU reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason or to supply less than the quantity you ordered of any item.
These Conditions will supersede any terms and/or conditions you include with any purchase order, or other communication, regardless of whether SeniorLivingU signs them or not. We reserve the right to make changes to this site and these Conditions at any time.
We will ship your product as it becomes available. Usually, orders ship the same day if purchased by 3:00PM (Eastern). Orders received after 3:00PM (Eastern) Friday, or on any recognized holiday, will ship the next business day.
However, there may be times when the product you have ordered is out-of-stock which will delay fulfilling your order. We will keep you informed of any products you have ordered that are out-of-stock and unavailable for immediate shipment. You may cancel your order at any time prior to shipment.
Previews of our DVD titles are located on the product page for each DVD. Similarly, Tables of Contents are available for all SLU manuals. These can be found on the applicable product detail page. However, SLU does not offer a preview period prior to the purchase of our materials as all orders are fulfilled upon receipt of payment.
SeniorLivingU accepts returns on all of its products, with the exception of eProducts*.
Upon receipt of your order, you may review the materials. If the content does not meet your continuing education or training need, submit an RMA request, located on the corresponding receipt in your online account, within 30 days of purchase. You will then receive notification via your account with the specific instructions for completing the return and the address to which to ship the merchandise.
All unwanted merchandise must be in sellable condition to receive a refund. Merchandise is to be returned, postage paid, within 30 days of purchase. If the purchase was made by check, a check will be issued for the refund. Likewise, if the purchase was charged to a credit card, the refund is issued on the same credit card.
Please note: Access to complete or download all eProducts is valid only for the timeframe specified in the product description. Refunds will not be issued for eProducts not completed or downloaded within the specified timeframe.
*eProducts include, but are not limited to, in-services (individual issues or subscriptions), eBooks, online exams, and eLearning courses.
Sales & Tax Policy
We have prepared this sales tax policy statement to explain to you why and when SLU collects sales tax on your purchases.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Even if SLU does not collect sales tax from you, you may owe sales tax on your purchase. Unless you live in Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, or Oregon, your state most likely requires purchasers to report and pay tax on all purchases that are not taxed at the time of sale. The tax may be reported and paid on your individual income tax return or by filing a consumer use tax return. For more information, please visit your state’s department of revenue website.
SeniorLivingU COLLECTS SALES TAX in states where we have a physical presence, or nexus, including Pennsylvania and Virginia. SeniorLivingU DOES NOT COLLECT SALES TAX in any state not listed above since SeniorLivingU is not required to collect sales or use tax in these states.
FOR OUR TAX-EXEMPT CUSTOMERS: SENIORLIVINGU DOES NOT COLLECT SALES TAX if we have your exemption certificate on file.
Shipping Time — Most orders received before 3:00PM will ship the same day, provided the product ordered is in stock. Most orders received after 3:00 PM will ship the next business day. Orders are not processed or shipped on Saturday, Sunday, or on holidays recognized by UPS and/or the United States Postal Service. Those orders will ship the next business day.
We cannot guarantee when an order will arrive. Consider any shipping or transit time offered to you by SeniorLivingU only as an estimate. We encourage you to order in a timely fashion to avoid delays caused by shipping or product availability.
In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in pricing information received from our suppliers, SeniorLivingU has the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price.
SeniorLivingU has the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, SeniorLivingU will immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.
