DO’s & DON’TS OF AI

Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools are becoming increasingly common in the workplace and can be valuable resources for generating ideas, assisting with research, and streamlining routine tasks. As we continue to explore the benefits of these technologies, it is essential that we use them responsibly and in a manner that protects our company, our coworkers, and the residents we serve.

Please take a few moments to review the attached AI Do’s and Don’ts Guide created by the AI Governance Committee.

Anything entered into an AI system may be stored, processed, or used in ways that are outside of our control. When in doubt, treat sensitive information with the same care you would use with PHI/PII and HIPAA sensitive information. If you would not post it publicly, send it to an external party, or share it outside the organization, do not enter it into an AI tool.  Remember to always protect our residents information including their photos.

AI can be a powerful resource when used thoughtfully and responsibly. By following our guidance and exercising good judgment, we can benefit from innovation while protecting the privacy, security, and trust that are fundamental to our organization.

If you have questions regarding appropriate AI use, please contact the Compliance or Information Technology team.
