Alzheimer’s Family Night Series
A “family night” series is a great opportunity to create an informal support group for the families of memory care residents. It gives family and friends the opportunity to learn more about dementia, understand what their loved one is going through, and discover there are others who share their experiences.
SeniorLivingU is pleased to be able to provide the free Alzheimer’s resource, the Alzheimer’s Family Night Series, courtesy of Novartis Pharmaceuticals. It is an eight-part series, available for download, by clicking on the links below.
Each session has two parts: the leader’s guide and the handouts/resources guide for participants. The leader’s guide contains tips on hosting family night sessions, an opening exercise, a no-pressure quiz, and discussion points. The handouts/resources guide features an opening exercise, a no-pressure quiz, a summary of discussion points, resources, and a section for taking notes.
