Senior Living University’s materials on Alzheimer’s/dementia care range from a “how to” manual for developing a memory care program, to DValDs demonstrating care for those with dementia, to a certificate program with NAB-approved CEUs. In addition, SLU offers a special Alzheimer’s curriculum approved by the Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA) through the University of South Florida Training Academy on Aging which is administered by DOEA-approved trainers. The eight hour curriculum includes Level I and Level II which are four hours each. Likewise, we are pleased to offer select Validation products by Naomi Feil. Validation is an approach to communicating with confused residents which preserves dignity and respect.
