| 8. Does Senior Living University’s National Administrator Certification meet my state’s requirements?
The Management Library for Executive Directors (Administrator Level 1) represents an excellent core curriculum for assisted living administrator training. In addition to being used by individuals as an introductory or self-study training course, this 3-volume set has been adapted and combined with state-specific classroom training in various states. States where the materials are currently included as part of state-specific classroom training programs (mandatory OR voluntary) include: Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, and Texas. States where the curriculum is recommended by licensing agencies include: Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Montana, South Dakota, Texas, and Washington.
When using the curriculum for continuing education, individuals should ascertain if their specific state requires NAB-approved CEUs to determine if such documentation is required. Both administrator courses (Level 1 and Level 2) are approved by the NAB and were utilized as source content in the creation of its NCERS RC/AL exam, for which both courses are also recommended study guides.
